Your files are never uploaded

When you drop a file on this site, it stays on your device. Decoding the audio, running the transcription model and writing the MIDI file all happen inside your own browser tab, using your device's processor and memory. The file is not sent to this site's server, and it is not stored anywhere after you close the tab.

There is no upload step in the code. The site is a set of static files: the page itself, its stylesheet, its script, and the transcription model. Loading those files is the only network traffic the tool needs.

What we do not ask for

No account, no email address, no sign-up, no payment. You do not have to identify yourself to use the converter, so there is nothing for us to link your conversion to.

Cookies and local storage

As of the date above, this site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. The converter keeps its state in memory for as long as the tab is open.

Server logs

The site is served by a hosting provider. Like essentially every website, that provider necessarily handles routine request information — your IP address, the page you requested, your browser's user agent, and the time of the request — in order to deliver the files and to keep the service available. This is standard web hosting traffic data, not something the tool adds.

Advertising — planned for the future

We intend to place third-party advertising on this site at a later date. When we do, the pages will load scripts from an advertising network, and this policy will be updated before that happens.

Be aware of what that means: an advertising network is a third party that may collect data such as your IP address, user agent, referring page and ad interactions, and may set its own cookies or similar identifiers, including for interest-based advertising. Once those scripts are loaded, their handling of your data is governed by that network's own privacy policy, not by this one. We do not control it and cannot speak for it.

Adding advertising will not change the converter itself. Your audio file will still be processed only inside your browser, and the advertising network will not receive your file.

Email

If you write to the address on our contact page, we receive your message and your email address, and we use them only to reply. We do not sell or share them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes, such as the introduction of advertising, will be reflected here before they take effect.
